Course/Module aims:
This course will cover aspects related to the development of cannabis as a medicinal crop for modern medicine, focusing on agricultural and applied aspects, including: botany and physiology of the cannabis plant, history of cannabis utilization, active compounds in the cannabis plants and their metabolism, cannabinoids, terpenes, terpenoids, flavonoids; standardization of the production of active compounds in the plant; the endocannabinoid system in the human body; Hemp and development of the CBD industry; the medicalization process in Israel and throughout the world; clinical effects of cannabis.
