Course/Module description:
The students will participate in developmental research that is conducted in the lab of social development in psychology department.
The course will focus on personality development and on hereditary and environmental factors that contribute to individual differences in social behavior.
The course includes practical work in the lab in analyzing children's behavior from videotaped observations or in conducting experiences with children or infants. Grade will be determined based on involvement in the assignments and active, continuous participation. There is an option to write a seminar work in the frame of the course.

Course/Module aims:
The students will get acquainted with the different stages of scientific research, starting from recruiting subjects to analyzing the observations, and will be involved in one or more of the stages.
In addition, the students will receive background in developmental research, and will analyze articles examining environmental and hereditary factors that influence personality development, pro-social behavior, temperament, parenting, values etc.

Learning outcomes - On successful completion of this module, students should be able to:
Ask research questions in variety of themes related to personality development and understand the complexity of the field. In addition, the students should be able to design a research project according to the common methods in developmental research.
