Course/Module description:
The studio will focus on the planning of new residential neighborhoods from a variety of perspectives. The lectures and the students' projects will cover subjects such as the planning process, demographic issues, statutory background, urban form, site analysis, program of public facilities, design considerations, review of densities, urban revitalization,etc.
Course/Module aims:
The goal of the course is to expose the students to the multi-disciplinary and integrative aspects of the planning process. During the course the students will be expected to integrate the various analytic reviews with the creative, physical design processes
Learning outcomes - On successful completion of this module, students should be able to:
At the end of the course the students will better equipped to understand the process of planning new residential neighborhoods, by working in planning teams, analyzing and constraints alternatives and presenting their findings

Teaching arrangement and method of instruction:
The course comprises frontal lectures, ongoing review of student planning projects and a site visit in new neighborhoods in Jerusalem
