תאור כללי של הקורס:
הקורס יעסוק בתהליכי טרנספורמציה של קונפליקטים חברתיים ואתנו-לאומיים ממושכים וקשים המערבים סוגיות של זהות ושייכות ובתהליך התפייסות השואף לשקם יחסים שנפגעו בין צדדים יריבים ולבססם על כבוד ואמון הדדי, צדק ושיתוף פעולה. נתמקד בתפקידה של החברה האזרחית בקידום תהליכים אלה ונתוודע לאתגרים העומדים בפני תהליכי שינוי שהנם ארוכי טווח, עמוקים והדרגתיים ומצריכים שינויים מבניים ופסיכולוגיים כאחד.
בחלקו הראשון של הקורס נציג פרספקטיבות תיאורטיות של טרנספורמציה של קונפליקט, בניית שלום ותהליכי פיוס ונדון בסוגיות מרכזיות הכרוכות בתהליך התפייסות בין עמים ואנשים יריבים (למשל, פיוס והכרה, צדק, התמודדות עם העבר, טראומה וריפוי ועוד). בהמשך נלמד על תפקיד החברה האזרחית בתהליכי טרנספורמציה של קונפליקט ופיוס ונכיר אסטרטגיות התערבות שונות (כמו: סנגור/מחאה, דיאלוג, וועדות אמת ופיוס); בתוך כך נתוודע לארגונים שונים הפועלים לקידום טרנספורמציה ופיוס בסכסוך הישראלי-פלסטיני ונבחן את האפשרויות והאתגרים העומדים בפני פעילויות אלה.
הקורס ישלב סרטים, מרצים אורחים ומפגש עם ארגוני החברה האזרחית. במידת האפשר נקיים סיור בשטח.

תוצרי למידה :
בסיומו של קורס זה, סטודנטים יהיו מסוגלים:
התלמידים יכירו אסטרטגיות התערבות שונות לקידום טרנספורמציה של קונפליקט; יבחנו ויעריכו את התאמתם של אסטרטגיות שונות לאתגרי השדה הישראלי-פלסטיני ; ישוו בין האסטרטגיות הקיימות ויעריכו את יתרונותיהן ומגבלותיהן; כך שיוכלו לעצב או להמליץ על האסטרטגיות המיטביות מול בעיה מסוימת בקונטקסט מסוים
