Comments: Offered as an intensive program at the Inter-University Institute for Marine Sciences in Eilat on 18-23 April 2021. Online enrollment is an application, enrollment is final only after approved by the Inter-University Institute for Marine Sciences. Available to advanced-degree students, and outstanding third-year undergraduates who satisfy the prerequisites.

Prerequisites: basic courses in calculus and linear algebra
Comments: The trip will take place from March 17-19, 2021. The course lectures are an integral part of the course and attendance is required. The first lecture will take place on March 14, 2021, from 17:00-19:00 .The second lecture will take place on March 15, 2021, from 17:00-19:00. A review lesson prior to the exam will take place on April 7, 2021, from 16:00-18:00 in Room 103. The exam will take place on April 11, 2021, from 8:30-11:00. The course is open to third-year students with permission of the instructor.
Comments: Four day field trip from May 3-6, 2021. Students must be equipped with safety glasses and follow all safety instructions. Students for which this course is compulsory will be charged only for food expenses. Students for which this course is an elective will be charged for both accommodation and food expenses.
Comments: A 10-day course at the Interuniversity Institute for Marine Sciences in Eilat (IUI), taking place between October 11-20, 2020. The course includes lectures, labs, demonstrations and research projects. Extra meetings will take place before and after the course. Teaching times will be arranged with the instructor. A master's class with only one exam date. The course may be given in English. Students for whom the course is elective will charged for room and board, but students for whom it is mandatory will be responsible for board expenses only.

This is a graduate course and involves advanced learning (journal club presentations, report submission, single exam). The course is open for third-year students. Note that participation in the course is by selection and notification via e-mail, and signing up via "rishum-net" is considered application only. Please cancel your registration on "rishum-net" if you are not admitted to the course.
Comments: Students are required to conduct an independent guided research project in a field which is not directly related to their thesis, with a high priority for conducting it during the monitoring cruises in Eilat. Students will decide on a topic after consulting with an instructor in the student’s field of interest. The first session will take place on Wednesday, March 21, 2021 at 16:00, in Room 126. Several sessions will be held towards the end of the semester for presenting research results. Research topics will be decided by the course head after receipt of agreement from the guiding instructor. Topics will be approved by the course head. The course may be conducted in English.
