Course/Module description:
In this course students will learn the principles of inferential statistics and relevant tests for conducting a quantitative research study in occupational therapy.

Course/Module aims:
1.Introduce basic concepts of the theory of statistics
2.Provide knowledge of inferential statistics
3.Provide knowledge of applying statistic tests
4.The ability to conduct data analysis
5.The ability to read and understand the results chapter in an article

Learning outcomes - On successful completion of this module, students should be able to:
1.Describe statistic terms
2.Identify suitable statistic tests for investigating a hypothesis
3.Conduct a suitable test and understand its results

Course/Module Content:
1.Factor analysis and Reliability
2.Explore the data distribution
3.Analysis of variance (ANOVA, MANOVA, MANCOVA) and the concept of interaction
4.Mixed and Repeated measures ANOVA
6.Linear Regression (Multiple, Stepwise, Hierarchical) with and without an interaction
7.Non-parametric tests
