Course/Module description:
This course deals with the importance of the assessment process in occupational therapy, and will relate to central theoretical and clinical issues regarding the evaluation process in OT. Furthermore, the course will provide tools which will enable analysis of the quality of assessment tools
Course/Module aims:
-Increase knowledge regarding principles of the assessment process in occupational therapy, and the analysis of the psycho metrics of assessment tools
Learning outcomes - On successful completion of this module, students should be able to:
•understand the importance and impact of assessment and outcomes measures in occupational therapy
•analyse psychometric properties of outcome measures
•analyse and critique existing assessment tool using psychometric properties
•understand outcome measures of functional assessment tools
Introduce students to the process of developing new assessment tools
