Course/Module description:
This course will enable students to be exposed to different clinical areas of practice in OT. It will provide mentoring through the clinical field combining academic knowledge and professional development
Course/Module aims:
To enable knowledge acquisition for the therapy process and clinical thinking in different fields of occupational therapy, focusing on intervention using different models, approaches and evidence based practiceץ Students will have an opportunity to experience mentoring to promote their professional development.
Learning outcomes - On successful completion of this module, students should be able to:
1. Perform occupational assessment and intervention using knowledge, clinical thinking, reporting, documentation, and evidence based practice.
2. Describe and explain clinical occupational therapy fields
3. Present professional dilemmas through a case study
4. Further develop professional identity through mentoring
5. Summarise the fieldwork placement
