Course/Module description:
The course focuses on handwriting and keyboarding; what it entails as well as assessment of handwriting and keyboarding difficulties and intervention.

Course/Module aims:
Provide introduction to learning disabilities, knowledge relating to written expression and handwriting models and underlying mechanisms of handwriting. An additional aim is to learn about assessment and intervention for individuals with handwriting difficulties.

Learning outcomes - On successful completion of this module, students should be able to:
1.Define learning disabilities (LD).
2.Describe implications of LD.
3.Describe underlining mechanisms and characteristics of handwriting difficulties.
4.Describe measures of the handwriting process and product.
5. select appropriate handwriting assesment tools.
6.Select appropriate, evidence-based intervention for a case-study.


Attendance requirements(%):
80%

Teaching arrangement and method of instruction: Lectures,Reading theoretical and empirical literature, discussions.

Submission assignments during the semester: Exercises / Essays / Audits / Reports / Forum / Simulation / others 10 %

Additional information:
-Students must receive a grade of 65 and above in the final task to pass the course.
