Course/Module description:
A course in planning and evaluation of health services that seeks to connect between academic approaches and real life problems and situations. The course focuses on the Israeli health systems. Subjects include
A. Foundations of Health Organization
B. Foundations of Health System Planning
C. Foundations of Health Services Evaluation
D. Foundations of Health Economics
Course/Module aims:
Learning outcomes - On successful completion of this module, students should be able to:
To acquaint students with different approaches to policy analysis as applied to health systems, to apply these approaches to issues of the hospital system including policy setting, hospitalization, regulation, governance, reimbursement, work force and quality assurance, to utilize comparative health system analysis, to analyze policy options in the realm of planning, managing and evaluating health services.
