Course/Module description:
The workshop aims to facilitate the integration and application of public health approaches taught during the MPH in the form of policy development.
Students will choose a topic from an available list, will participate in small group work and plenary discussions. The final course report will be in the format of a policy paper together with a lay summary

Course/Module aims:
The workshop offers an opportunity to apply the learned skills and knowledge towards a relevant and timely public health challenge.

Learning outcomes - On successful completion of this module, students should be able to:
Workshop participants work in small mentored groups with each group focusing on a different topic.
Students will perform literature reviews, will discuss and present policy alternatives based on available evidence, and will draft a policy paper

80%

Teaching arrangement and method of instruction: Course teaching combines frontal lectures, small group work, student presentations and paper drafting

A list of topics will be made available to students at the beginning of the semester

The readings will be determined by the specific subject that the student will be assigned to
