Course/Module description:
The students will imply the theoretical aspecst of occlusion in practice on patients

Course/Module aims:
To conduct a clinical occlusal analysis integrated with the theoretical knowledge of occlusion

Learning outcomes - On successful completion of this module, students should be able to:
to take impressions with irreversible hydrocoloid material (alginate),occlusal registration with a facebow, cast the impressions with plaster and mount them on an articulator.
to Perform a complete occlusal examination
•to Analyze the different aspects of the ideal occlusion and various deviations.
•to Describe and classify different pathologies of occlusion.

Course/Module Content:
Clinical relevant topics will be presented theoretically:
•Vertical dimension,
•Occlusal trauma,
•TMD,
•Malocclusions.
Clinic:
•Students will take impressions, face bow registration, bite registration, complete mounting on an articulator and complete a full occlusal examination.

oPractical grade (60% of final course grade):
•Presentation of the study casts mounted on an articulator, registered with a face bow and a complete occlusal examination – 80%
•Graded Clinical Performance – 20%
