Course/Module description:
Preliminary exposure to clinical Pulmonary Medicine: ambulatory and admitted patients.
Course/Module aims:
To examine patients and gain clinical exposure to frequently encountered pulmonary diseases and procedures.
Learning outcomes - On successful completion of this module, students should be able to:
Have a basic clinical knowledge of the main disease entities in Pulmonary Medicine (as listed below) including clinical features, diagnostic tests and treatment

Teaching arrangement and method of instruction:
Teaching one to one or in pairs. Accompanying physicians during inpatient consultations, bedside teaching, participation in outpatient clinics, bronchoscopies, time and instruction in the pulmonary function laboratory, formal tutorials, participation in radiology and oncology and wardround meetings.
