Course/Module description:
During the 4th year the military medical track students will attend this 2-days-course.
The first day includes clinical lectures about introduction to military trauma management and life saving procedures.
The second day will be in BHD -10 and will include physical training of life saving procedures:
A. ventilation by Ambu, LMA, intubation and coniotomy.
B. Bleeding control procedures including direct pressure and proper tourniquet use
C. Chest drainage.
All the workshops will include POCUS contents.
The last day will be terminated by an exam. Passing the exam will allow the student to start doing life saving procedures under instruction in different positions on his/her further surgery and trauma training through the years.

Course/Module aims:
Demonstarting and tutoring when and how to perform live saving procedures. Making further training of this capability- possible.

Learning outcomes - On successful completion of this module, students should be able to:
1.Identifying the need for life saving procedure
2. Learning the technique of successing in performance of this life saving procedures.

3. Traumatic airway injuries
4. Introduction to Orthopedic trauma injuries
5. Novelties in military trauma treatment
6. Introduction to life saving procedures
7. Ambu ventilation
8. Intubation
9. Coniotomy
10. Tourniquet
11. Chest Drain

Grading Scheme :
Written / Oral / Practical Exam / Home Exam 50 %
Clinical Work / Lab Work / Practical Work / Workshops 40 %
Attendance / Participation in Field Excursion 10 %

Additional information:
In any frontal or online classes- full participation and attendance throughout the whole lesson is required. In zoom lectures students will be requested to turn their camera on , connecting as unique participant and to identify by their full name
