Course/Module description:
Historical review and presentation of theoretical framework, models for resolving dilemmas in the field of Public Health Ethics. In light of those, the goals of Public Health Ethics and models for the discussion of ethical dilemmas will be investigated.
Specific topics include: ethics and risk management at the beginning of life, vaccination and surveillance of infectious diseases, humanitarian ethics, ethics committees, disclosure of medical errors and the caregiver as the second victim to medical error, health promotion decision making

Defining and Understanding ethical dilemmas in Public Health Ethics and acquiring tools to cope with it
Learning outcomes - On successful completion of this module, students should be able to:
Understanding the main principles and theoretical framework of Public Health Ethics, analyze major issues in the field, handle ethical dilemmas in the field.
