Course/Module description:
The course is tailored for the IMPH students, for better undertanding environmental health. During the course we will discuss main issues in environmental epidemiology and relevant policy considerations.
Course/Module aims:
The course aims to provide the student state-of-the-art tools in Environmental Health research and practice.
Learning outcomes - On successful completion of this module, students should be able to:
1. Discuss the main issues in environmental and occupational health.
2. Explain and discuss common methodological issues of study design, exposure assessment, bias and confounding in environmental epidemiology.
3. Analyse a study of environmental epidemiology and interpret its results.
4. Define and recommend specific policy steps to promote environmental health.
5. Communicate EH to the public and decision-makers.
