Course/Module description:
Clinical experience in the Asaf Harofeh Medical Center Gynecology & Obstetrics Department units, such as: Gynecology, High Risk Pregnancy,
Maternal & delivery room.

Course/Module aims:
1. Identification of hospitalized women's physical, emotional & social needs.
2. Identification of the nursing problems, their significance & appropriate nursing care management.
3. Nursing teaching & education of women & their families about parenthood, care of newborn & themselves over a span of puerperium.

Learning outcomes - On successful completion of this module, students should be able to:

Teaching arrangement and method of instruction: Clinical experience in the Gynecology & Obstetrics Department units & clinical tutorials (discussions) in the Nursing School.

Theoretical & clinical issues with specific relevance for the department units.

Percent of Final Grade (%):
1. End of course case study- 20 %.
2. Clinical practice in the Gynecology & Obstetrics Department units + case management presentation+ participation in clinical tutorials (discussions) - 80 %.
