Course/Module description:
The clinical rotation will focus on patients with disease and/or injuries that are common in the clinical field. Add to that, there will be emphasis on learning skills relevant to the field.

Course/Module aims:
The student will acquire knowledge and tools to implement nursing intervention according to the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementing and evaluation) in treating the healthy and sick patient in the clinical field. There will be emphasis on communication skills, decision making process and coping with health problems.

Teaching arrangement and method of instruction: Clinical practice

Course/Module Content:
1. Acquaintance with representative acute and chronic disease;
2. Identification of existing and expected nursing diagnosis according to the biopsychosocial model and nursing process;
3. Ethical values ​​and their effect on decision-making in nursing;
4. Instructing patients and their families;
5. Creating a safety and quality environment;
6. Nursing intervention based on evidence-based practice;
7. Reporting and registration of nursing interventions as required by the law;
8. Management nursing care with a multi-professional team;
9. Ensuring continuity of care in the discharge procedure.
