Course/Module description:
This course will present the foundations of research methodology as well as the development of critical reading skills of nursing research. Students will also experience the process of evidence based practice in nursing.

Course/Module aims:
1. To present to students the basic principles of resaerch methodolgy
2. To present to students ther skills for critical reading of nursing research articles
3. To expose the students to the process of evidence based nursing (EBN)
4. To discuss the interface between nursing research and EBN
5. To discuss ethical issues in nursing research


Learning outcomes - On successful completion of this module, students should be able to:
1. To describe the principles of research methodology
2. To perform a critical reading of research articles as per present criterion
3. To evaluate nursing practice as per the state of the art research literature
4. To describe the interface between nursing research and evidence based nursing practice
5. To display understanding of ethical issues in nursing research
