Course/Module description:
The seminar will provide nursing students with understanding the need to recognize and understand chosen topics while imparting skills to implement quality assurance of treatment

Course/Module aims:
1.Acquire knowledge of the specific topic.
2.Recognize theories/concepts of the specific topic.
3.Identify situation related to the topic.

Learning outcomes - On successful completion of this module, students should be able to:

Teaching arrangement and method of instruction: Activities combine theoretical material with implementation of the following: discussion, role playing/simulation, observation, audio-visuals.

Additional information:
General Requirements for all Seminar & Pre-seminar Participants:

1.Mandatory attendance and active participation. Absences, even with an excusable reason, will be considered as non-participation in the seminar. Entry in to class more than 10 minutes after commencement of the class will be considered an absence for that class.
2.The student's chosen topic for presentation must be presented on the "Choice of Topic Form". This form must be submitted no more than two weeks after the semester begins. The topic must be approved by the teacher.
3.Active participation in various activities (observation, discussion, simulation, etc)
4.Assigned readings for each class according to the teacher's instructions
5.Student presentations of the chosen topic will be presented according to the oral presentation guide.
6.Submission of written seminar/pre-seminar papers will be according to the guide and include 2 written copies submitted to the student secretary. One copy will be submitted online or CD copy as per the teacher's instruction and include all reference material used for the written work. Written papers must be submitted at the date assigned by the teacher. Papers that are submitted late will have 5 points for each day delay deducted from the final grade.
7.All written work submitted must conform to APA instructions for all material, including on-line, references used. No plagiarizing of materials is allowed rather a summary of the material should be provided.
8.To pass the course, a student must earn a passing grade of 60 or above for the written seminar/pre-seminar paper
9.Distribution: First semester, Sundays 10:15 – 11:45
