Course/Module description:
We will discuss cardinal characteristics of the continuum, both classical and generalized.

Course/Module aims:
To be familiar with this branch of set theory, and to meet the main open problems in this area.

Learning outcomes - On successful completion of this module, students should be able to:
To read advanced material and to be able to attack open problems.

a. splitting and dominating.
b. generalized splitting and dominating.
c. pseudointersection and tower numbers.
d. Martin and Galvin num.
e. almost disjointness and independence.
f. ultrafilter number.
g. groupwise density.

The article of Andreas Blass in the Handbook of Set Theory, and a variety of papers in the subject.
