Course/Module description:
The course will address fundamental aspects in plasma physics. Collective processes, electromagnetic properties and stability issues will be described.

Course/Module aims:
Introduction to plasma physics and its fundamental characteristics.

Learning outcomes - On successful completion of this module, students should be able to:
1. Definition of plasma and basic characteristics
2. Recognise processes in plasma
3. solve simple models
4. explain basic nonlinear effects

Plasma in nature, single particle in fields, plasma models, fluid model of plasm, waves in plasma, diffusion and resistivity, instability, nonlinear effects
