Course/Module description:
A comprehensive course about fish biology with specific reference to the Gulf of Eilat fish.

Course/Module aims:
Getting acquainted with a variety of topics in the field of fish biology, with specific emphasis on the Gulf of Eilat fish.

Learning outcomes - On successful completion of this module, students should be able to:
To describe phenomena and findings in the fields of taxonomy, systematics, anatomy and physiology of fish, and to analyze their adaptation to unique ecological niches.

Introduction to taxonomy and systematics of fish, basic anatomy,respiration and gas exchange, biomechanics, reproduction, biogeography of reef fish, ecology of larval דאשעקד

Additional information:
A 6 days course in Eilat.
Prior course of organism biology (i.e. "Introduction to Biology of the Organism") is required.
Course for graduate students, open to 3rd year undegrads too.
Limited to 24 students.
