Course/Module description:
Lecturesת exercises and the final assignment will deal with imparting basic concepts in public health, deepening the understanding of the various factors that affect health (personal, environmental), presenting different models for health research, and imparting basic concepts in health promotion, intervention, and evaluation methods. And deepening knowledge in the field of nutrition in public health.

Course/Module aims:
Allow students to acquire knowledge, understanding, skills, and critical thinking in public health. In addition, learning methods for assessing needs and planning interventions in public health.

Learning outcomes - On successful completion of this module, students should be able to:
1) Identify a health problem that can be treated at the population level, conducting literature research to understand the outcome's prevalence, risk factors, and etiology.
2) Design a prevention program for the outcome of interest, including an empirical evaluation of the plan.

Teaching arrangement and method of instruction: weekly lectures (3 hours) with project work interspersed.

Course/Module Content:
Teaching basic concepts in public health, deepening the understanding of the various factors that affect health (personal, environmental), understanding the concept of social justice in the context of public health, presenting different models for health research, and teaching basic concepts in health promotion, intervention, and assessment methods. Introducing the mechanisms of allocating resources to various issues in public health, knowing the issue of food security, the relationship between health and politics, food insecurity, nutrition, and sustainability. Working on the final group project and presenting the work to the class and lecturers.

An up-to-date list of articles will be distributed before the course's first lesson.
