Course/Module description:
Plant diseases caused as result of interaction between pathogen, host, and environments condition. In this course, we will get to review dioecious and grapevine diseases cause from bacteria or fungus presence, interaction with sensitive hosts and optimal environment condition. We will discuss different ways to reduce plants damaged as chemical and biological products, as well as agrotechnic practice.

Course/Module aims:
To give knowledge about deciduous tree and grapevines disease, different practices to reduce plant damage considering the environment.

Learning outcomes - On successful completion of this module, students should be able to:
The students will be exposed to the current knowledge about experimental and practical ways to reduce plants damaged considering reduce damaged to the environment, fungicides and bactericides resistance risk.

Teaching arrangement and method of instruction: Lectures, student labs, Study tour to the north

• Introduction – 2 hr
• Fungus Soil disease in Dioecious fruit trees – 4 hr
• Air bourn pathogen caused by fungus and bacteria pathogen– 4 hr
• Trunk diseases – 2 hr
• Fungicides and bactericides resistance risk – 4 hr
• Alternative ways of reducing diseases damages – 4 hr
• Study tour to the north – 8 hr
