Discussions on selected issues, including physiological, morphological and molecular processes and endogenous and exogenous regulators, which determine and control fruit development and its quality in various species

To expose the students to the various stages of fruit development and their control

flower morphology, pollination and fertilization, fruit set, embryogenesis, control of fruit size and shape, the metabolic control of fruit development, parthenocarpic fruit set, breeding, alternate bearing, horticultural means to induce yield, fruit ripening, post-harvest processes
