Elucidation of the main mode of actions (MOA) of herbicides in use in agriculture. Understanding herbicides behavior in plant, soil and the environment. Herbicide selectivity mechanisms in crops and weeds, including crop safeners. Evolution of herbicide-resistant weeds; Herbicide-resistant transgenic crops
Course/Module aims:
Understand the way herbicides affect weed and crop growth. How farmer can utilize the knowledge for protecting crops and the environment in a safe manner
