Course/Module description:
The course “Simulation models of Agricultural systems” deals with the different aspects of developing a dynamic model for agricultural crops, mainly annuals. The following topics will be discussed: sample of different models, the definition of different factors such as the system, inputs and outputs, parameters and variables, the general use of models, simulating competition on resources, decision support systems, the interaction between agricultural system and the environment, modelling of phonological events and how to simulate the Soil-Plant Atmosphere continuum.
