Course/Module description:
Phytogeography: distribution of plants in the world. Phytosociology: plant societies and their characterizations.
Mediterranean vegetation, in desert, rural and on the coast. Richness and variety of species. Morphological and Physiological adjustments to environmental conditions. Ecoptypes. Invasive plants. Plants interaction between competition and relief. Disturbance (grazing, fire) and dynamics of plants. Life cycles and reproductive strategies in plants.
Course/Module aims:
Accruing basic terms of plant ecology. Understanding processes in plant societies and thier effects on environmental factors
Learning outcomes - On successful completion of this module, students should be able to:
