Course/Module description:
The history and principles of forest entomology. Forest insects as determining the composition and forest structure design and Biogeographic
and evolutionary aspects. Description of key pests and natural forest trees planted, with an emphasis on ecology and the population dynamics of pests. Forest management and its impact on the level of the population of pests and their natural enemies. Main methods of prevention and pest control.
Course/Module aims:
One. Meet the scientific field called Forest Atomolgy
Two. Understanding important insect groups in the forest with emphasis on insects in Israel's forest
Three. Study interactions between insects and trees forest pests and their economic importance
Four. Recognition of approaches and tools taken to prevent damage caused by forest insects
Five. Understand the main approaches to pesticide
