Course/Module description:
he course is designed to impart four skills – reading, writing, speaking and oral comprehension – and focuses on learning materials from various areas on a university level and in the press. In addition, emphasis is placed on academic writing and the ability to converse on a high academic level.

Course/Module aims:
–To understand lectures on a university level
–To develop university-level writing skills
–To acquire a command of the language that enables one to express opinions, analyze, criticize, reach conclusions and summarize
–To expand knowledge of Hebrew grammar
–To enrich Hebrew vocabulary

Learning outcomes - On successful completion of this module, students should be able to:
–To discuss various topics in different areas at a high level
–To express oneself in writing on a high level
–To combine information from different passages in Hebrew and to summarize them on a high level
–To criticize and evaluate written materials and to express an opinion on central topics in Jewish and Israeli culture
–To apply the grammatical criteria learned to the spoken and written language
–To select the necessary vocabulary to suit the level of the conversation
–To read original literature

Attendance requirements(%):
At least 70% full attendance of all lessons
