Course/Module description:
This is a directed one-to-one laboratory course in which the student will learn in depth a specific topic in the area of Medical Image Processing or Computer Aided Surgery and develop a solution for a problem.
Course/Module aims:
To conduct a guided project to gain in-depth knowledge and/or develop a new method related to a specific topic in the area of Medical Image Processing or Computer Aided Surgery. At the end of the course, the student will write a project report, a conference or journal paper, and/or a software prototype.
Learning outcomes - On successful completion of this module, students should be able to:
The student will be able to analyze and develop new algorithms and implement them in the specific area of interest in Medical Image Processing or Computer Aided Surgery. The student will be able to critically analyze existing solutions and propose new ones.
