Course/Module description:
We will cover protocols
and systems that provide
privacy to their users. We will cover different notions for privacy, and the mechanisms and systems that help achieve them.

Course/Module aims:

Learning outcomes - On successful completion of this module, students should be able to:
The students will be able to identify privacy problems in systems and protocols, they will learn certain tools that
allow to retrofit privacy.

We will study protocols and systems that keep user information private:

- encrypted communication
- traffic analysis attacks
- onion routing and mix networks
- deniable participation
-private information retrieval
- Scalability and performance challenges
