Course/Module description:
The course will include various aspects of equine medicine and surgery.

Course/Module aims:
to acquire theoretical knowledge in equine internal medicine and surgery with the emphasis on integration of the theoretical knowledge with the clinical findings

Learning outcomes - On successful completion of this module, students should be able to:
At completion of the course,the student will have acquired basic knowledge in equine medicine and surgery.

Teaching arrangement and method of instruction: Primarily lecture presentations, with some quizzes based on written material provided.

Course/Module Content:
all equine medicine & surgery fields including decision making in colic, neonatal disease and care, emergency medicine including receiving a colic, penetrating wounds, colitis and other gastrointestinal disorders (EGUS & ileus), weight loss, respiratory diseases, liver and endocrine disease, anemia and clotting disorders, hematology and aspects of clinical pathology.
