Course/Module description:
The animal anatomy course with elements of the topographic and comparative anatomy-
The course consists of lectures (Panopto -recordings or ZOOM or class lectures) and practice laboratories.
Course/Module aims:
To obtain the knowledge of the anatomy of animals to practical use for further education (clinical science) and in the veterinary practice.
Learning outcomes - On successful completion of this module, students should be able to:
- to identify the body structure of domestic animals and to compare it with other large animals;
- to describe the anatomical systems of the body;
- to name the anatomical structures of the body;
- to find and show the elements of all parts of the body;
- Skillfully use dissection tools.

Teaching arrangement and method of instruction:
Become familiar with the lectures and the laboratory instruction before the lab.
Course/Module Content:
Osteology, arthrology, myology, blood vessels and nerves of:
- the thoracic limb
- the neck and trunk
- the pelvic limb
- the head

The lectures (Panopto- recordings, Power point - PDF in Moodle), checklists (Moodle).

Computerized Exam - At the cluster % 100
Additional information:
Attendance in anatomy labs is mandatory.
The final grade is set based on a final exam.
Questions may include theoretical questions (lectures) as well as questions on pictures (specimens) – laboratories and check lists.
The test is expected to take place on campus through the Moodle exam.
Bonus exams will occur during the semester, at the end of each topic, and they will allow students to earn up to 6 bonus points to their final grade.
The program for this academic year may change according to the security situation.
