Course/Module description:
The course provides knowledge about teratological damages that can be caused due to drugs or teratogenic agents, maternal infections or diseases to the baby and the different time point during pregnancy and lactation.
Course/Module aims:
The aims of the course are to familiarize the student with the potential damages that can be associated with drug treatment infections or maternal diseases and how to advice the patient and the caregiver about avoiding these issues.

Introduction to teratology
Teratology due to: radiation, mothers disease states, drugs of abuse, antiepileptic drugs, anticoagulats, heavy metals, anticancer drugs, anti-thyroid medications, NSAID and antihistamines, psychoactive medications, immunosuppressant
Materna infections during pregancy: CMV Zika virus, rubella, toxoplasmosis varicalla and others
