Course/Module description:
The course will overview the fundamentals of widely used medical imaging methods. (X-ray radiography, CT, MR).
The course will detail the role of nuclear medicine in medical imaging.
The course will overview essential radioisotopes in nuclear medicine and principal PET tracers in clinical use.

Course/Module aims:
To impart basic concepts and knowledge in medical imaging, specifically nuclear medical imaging.

Learning outcomes - On successful completion of this module, students should be able to:
Introduction to the principles of medical imaging.
Basic concepts in medical imaging and nuclear medicine and imaging.
Fundamentals of PET and PET/CT imaging, PET-radioisotopes & PET-radiopharmaceuticals

Attendance is required

Teaching arrangement and method of instruction: Online teaching,

Review of medical imaging methods.
Basic concepts in medical imaging & nuclear medical imaging.
Introduction to nuclear medicine and PET
