Course/Module description:
Various talks and practices on basic introduction to human genetics.

Course/Module aims:
To give the student basic knowledge in human genetics

Learning outcomes - On successful completion of this module, students should be able to:
Understanding of inheritance patterns, genetic mechnisms, to get familiar with basic genetic analyses and understand the impact of genetics on therapy.

Teaching arrangement and method of instruction: Lectures and exercises

Course/Module Content:
Mendelian inheritance, mitosis, myosis, genomic imprinting, multifuctorial inheritance, population genetics, karyotype, linkage, candidate gene, gene therapy.

Grading Scheme :
Computerized Exam - At the cluster % 70
Mid-terms exams 30 %

Additional information:
Mandatory presence in lectures and practice. Three mid-term exams will take place- one as a home duty and two class exams. Mid-term exams score (mean of the best 2 out of the 3 exams) will be taken into account only if higher than the final exam score.
