Course/Module description:
This is an introductory course to international law. The course will address various international law topics and emphasis on the role of international law with regard to current affairs.
Course/Module aims:
• Presenting the structure of international law and its formation
• Presenting the main players in international law and the manner in which they are affected by political processes
Assessing central topics in contemporary international law
Learning outcomes - On successful completion of this module, students should be able to:

• identify and describe main international legal instruments
• identify phenomena in international relations that can be analyzed on the basis of legal doctrines
• apply international legal doctrines to analyze current and historical events

sources of international law, domestic law and international law, statehood and self-determination, international organizations, immunities, human rights law, laws of war, the law of the sea, international criminal law, the law of treaties, international trade, international responsibility, and more
