Course/Module description:
The Seminar deals with the main principles of government regulation while focusing on the main challenges regulatory bodies in Israel face today.
The seminar deals with the role of law within regulatory discourse.
The course will emphasize the wide variety of regulatory techniques while focusing on regulation of infrastructure.
Course/Module aims:
Learning outcomes - On successful completion of this module, students should be able to:
1. The Students will learn the main principles of government regulation and the main literature in the field.
2. The students will implement the above mentioned on a concrete economic sector in Israel in a critical manner.
3. The students will learn the main legal aspects of government regulation, with an emphasis on public law

2. Regulatory techniques and the right way to implement them.
3. Institutional design of regulatory bodies in Israel.
4. Privatizing regulatory functions.
5. Regulatory compliance and enforcement.
6. Regulation of Infrastructure.
7. Regulation inside government and global regulation.
8. Achieving regulatory excellence and who regulates the regulators.
