Course/Module description:
The workshop will provide an introduction to the Israeli high-tech industry and its key players and discuss various incorporation considerations, capital-raising methods, and legal issues arising in the ordinary course of business for startups.
Course/Module aims:
The workshop is intended to provide the students with the legal perspective of the high-tech industry, particularly the field of startups and venture capital.
Learning outcomes - On successful completion of this module, students should be able to:
On successfully completing this module, the students should have a basic understanding of the Israeli high-tech industry and are expected to be familiar with the key players in the high-tech industry and their considerations and motivations. Additionally, the students will understand the different phases in the lifecycle of a start-up company, the legal issues applicable to it, and the relevant funding alternatives for each of its phases.
