Course/Module aims:
The goal of the workshop is to give the students theoretical and practical tools in the criminal procedure, in the use of discretion, in drafting written arguments and in oral litigation.
Learning outcomes - On successful completion of this module, students should be able to:
At the end of this workshop, the students will be able to:
1) draft an indictment
2) draft criminal and detention appeals
3) draft criminal briefs
4) build a structured and coherent argument in a criminal hearing
In addition, the students will have the opportunity to be exposed to the State’s use of discretion as a side to the criminal process in the courts.

Course/Module Content:
The course will be divided into four units: 1) formalization and drafting indictments
2) arguments for punishment
3) submitting a criminal appeal
4) post-appeal criminal proceedings
Each unit will be composed of 2-3 sessions which will be divided into a frontal lecture on the uniqueness of the process and practical exercise in drafting written arguments. The beginning of the writing exercise will take place in class with the guidance of the lecturer and will continue as a written assignment.
