Course/Module description:
Times of Crises in the life of individuals and companies are the times when the impact of lawyers with specialized skills can be felt the strongest.
In the course we examine a number of significant crises that occurred in recent years and which received widespread public attention.
We will present the background and the legal foundation for each crisis, and then we will analyze the development of the crisis while highlighting the considerations that stood behind the action taken by each actor in the crisis.
One of the crises that will be featured in the course is the debt restructuring of the IDB Group.

Course/Module aims:
To expose the participants to the practical application of legal rules in a crisis situation

Learning outcomes - On successful completion of this module, students should be able to:

Analysis of a takeover battle
Analysis of a derivative claim/class action in light of a company in crisis
Analysis of an antitrust enforcement action
Analysis of a company under investigation
