Course/Module description:
The purpose of this course is to provide the students with the basis for forensic biological testing which include: DNA comparison, anthropology and forensic medicine. Proper background will be provided on DNA biology. The techniques for identification of biological samples, isolation of DNA, DNA profile determination and DNA profile comparison will be discussed. Methods for face comparison and forensic medicine – determination of reasons for non-natural death.

Course/Module aims:
Familiarity with biological testing commonly used in forensic labs, including: DNA profile comparison, face recognition and comparison, and determination the reasons of non-natural death.

Learning outcomes - On successful completion of this module, students should be able to:
The students are expected to be able to analyze single DNA profile and understand publications in forensic biology.
