Course/Module description:
The course introduces basic concepts in statistics, and focuses on understanding and preforming statistical methods.

Course/Module aims:
To introduce basic concepts of descriptive statistics and statistical inference, and to develop the ability to evaluate results of statistical analysis.

Learning outcomes - On successful completion of this module, students should be able to:
1. To explain the purpose and use of statistical analysis.
2. To understand statistical outcomes.
3. To evaluate results from statistical analysis.

1. Descriptive statistics.
2. Introduction to probability theory.
3. Statistical inference
4. Statistical hypothesis testing.

7. One way and two way ANOVA.
8. Linear regression.
9. Multiple regression and regression with dummy variables.
