תאור כללי של הקורס:
לקורס זה שתי מטרות. ראשית, מטרתו לבחון את פעולתה של המדיניות כתופעה סוציו-תרבותית והיסטורית על היבטיה הרבים: כמושג; ככלי של ממשול; כאתוס של יוצרי המדיניות עצמם; כאוסף של טכנולוגיות; כמגוון צורות ממשול ואופנים של סובייקטיביות. שנית, המטרה להבין את הקשר שבין טכנולוגיה וחברה, תוך הכרת הגישות התיאורטיות המרכזיות בתחום. לבסוף, נרצה לחבר בין שתי המטרות ולבחון כיצד מתעצבת מדיניות, מתפתחת ומיושמת תוך התבוננות במשטרי האמת והכוח שבמסגרתם היא מופיעה, בשדות אמפיריים שונים של טכנולוגיה וחברה. במושג טכנולוגיה, כוונתי לטכנולוגיה מדעית וחברתית בהיבט נרחב, למשל: טכנולוגיות תכנון עתיד, טכנולוגיות פריון ובריאות, טכנולוגיות ביטחוניות, טכנולוגיות דיגיטליות ועוד.

בסיומו של קורס זה, סטודנטים יהיו מסוגלים:
לבחון את פעולתה של המדיניות כתופעה סוציו-תרבותית והיסטורית.
להבין את הקשר שבין טכנולוגיה וחברה, תוך הכרת הגישות התיאורטיות המרכזיות בתחום.
