תאור כללי של הקורס:
הקורס יבחן את הלאומיות האירופאית תוך שימת דגש על מספר טקסטים ואירועים קאנונים. הקורס ינתח את עיקרי התיאוריות בחקר הלאומיות החל מסוף המאה ה-18 ועד למאה ה-21 ויתמקד בראש ובראשונה בהתפתחות המחשבה הלאומית בקרב שלוש 'הענקיות' האירופאיות: גרמניה, בריטניה וצרפת

מטרות הקורס:

תוצרי למידה :
בסיומו של קורס זה, סטודנטים יהיו מסוגלים:
אפיין את שורשיה האינטלקטואלים של הלאומיות האירופאית
להגדיר אירועי יסוד בלאומיות האירופית.
לסווג את עיקרי התיאוריות הרווחות בקרב חוקרי הלאומית.
לתאר מושגי יסוד בחקר הלאומית, כגון אתניות, מיתוס וקהילה.
להדגים לעומק מקרה מבחן אחד בחקר הלאומיות.
להשוות בין מקרי מבחן מרכזיים בלאומיות האירופאית.
