Course/Module description:
The constructivist approach to study international relations emphasizes the social construction of reality. This course presents contemporary IR research that uses assumptions and perspectives associated with constructivism. The course will focus on various theoretical lenses to study security, foreign policy, and international institutions and will expose the students to diverse tools to apply in constructivist research.
Course/Module aims:
The central goal of the course is to expose the students to contemporary constructivist research in IR. It aims to broaden the students' perspective to understanding international relations as a social whole.
Learning outcomes - On successful completion of this module, students should be able to:
1. To identify different theoretical concepts in constructivist IR
2. To analyze international phenomena using a constructivist perspective.
