Course/Module description:
This course is a direct follow-up course to Introduction to International Relations I. It will build on the core concepts and approaches studied in that course in toder to focus on the central issue areas arround which there is lively debate in the field of International Relations- International security, International Political Economy and global issues.

Course/Module aims:
Expose the students to the main debates in key issue areas of international politics- international security, international political economy, and globalization-related questions.
The course will build on the concepts and theories studied in the earlier course of Introduction to International Relations I.

Learning outcomes - On successful completion of this module, students should be able to:
1. understand the main problems of international politics in various issue areas
2. Apply the different approaches studied during the first semester in Intro to IR I to analyze more focused phenomena.
3. Critically compare different reserach approaches.
4. Examine empiricial cases and apply theoratical arguments in empirical research.
5. Design and succesfully complete a small comparative research project
