Course/Module description:
The course will teach the basic facts of economic growth and the main theories that try to explain these facts.

Course/Module aims:
To teach facts and theories of economic growth and also basic research tools of economic growth.

Learning outcomes - On successful completion of this module, students should be able to:
Students will be able to think better on the phenomenon of economic growth.

Attendance requirements(%):

Teaching arrangement and method of instruction: Combination of frontal teaching and solution of problem sets.

1.Basic facts of growth.
2. The Neoclassical theory of growth.
3. Growth accounting and development accounting.
4. Endogenous growth.
5. Obstacles to growth.
6. Effects of growth.
